Librarians vs. 5th Graders
It's on! Starting today and lasting through the whole month of October, we librarians have challenged the 5th graders to see who can read more. While we may be greatly outnumbered, our mere four librarians against whole classes of 5th graders, we are absolutely up to the challenge!

Thomas Nye: Author Visit
It was a great turn out for Thomas Nye's author visit to our library! We greatly enjoyed hearing him speak about his books, his writing process, and reading one of his favorite passages. Following his talk, he answered questions from the crowd.
A big thank you to Thomas Nye for coming to speak at our library! It was a pleasure having you and hearing all you had to say.

Pony Beads
We had so much fun last week making key chains using pony beads. Again, we had some crafty and creative minds join us. We loved seeing what they created! We are certain some backpacks and key chains received some extra adornment following our activity.

Pick a Better Snack
Amy Green joined us last week to present "Pick a Better Snack" for our Summer Reading Program. She shared a lot of information about how much sugar is in the foods we eat/drink. The kids were surprised to see how much sugar is in some of their favorite drinks.
