Located next to City Hall, Wellman-Scofield Public Library serves Wellman and the surrounding communities, including communities in Washington, Iowa, Keokuk, and Johnson Counties. We welcome visitors from all over to come and join us at the library. We offer a variety of programs and love serving our community. Our mission is to provide access to information, community resources, and services. We work to provide opportunities for education exploration for all ages in a comfortable and welcoming space.

Our children's area is filled with great books, toys, and activities. Each Friday at 1:00, we welcome moms and tots in to our Mom's Coffee Break. It is a wonderful time for little ones to play and enjoy the library, while moms enjoy a cup of coffee and conversation.
